Steve Bueno, 20

Steve Bueno, a 20-year-old Latino, died Sept. 11 after he was shot in the head two days earlier in the 2000 block of Parkside Drive in Lincoln Heights, according to Los Angeles County coroner's officials.

Bueno, of Los Angeles, was shot Sept. 9 at about 3 p.m. and died in a hospital at 3:45 p.m. two days later, said Ed Winter, a spokesman for the coroner's office.

I'd known Steve since we were both in kindergarten together. My time in elementary school pretty much consisted of me being constantly bullied, but Steve was one of the boys who was always nice to me. For that, I will always have respect for him. Rest in peace Steve Bueno. Even though down the road you went your way, and I went mine, I did always and will always see you as my friend.

I just saw his father speak about the loss of his son. Anderson Cooper did a special about the gangs in Hollenbeck, quite interesting. sorry for this mans family loss.

What's crazy is i still see the baby blue hatchback civic used in the murder still being driven around. Very easy to spot, but a woman drives it now. Won't say where... but it's still rollin'.
