Thomas Wade II, a 31-year-old black man, was shot several times on Thursday, May 7, in the 2100 block of West 26th Place in Jefferson Park, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
Wade was found unresponsive in a vehicle, with several gunshot wounds, said Ed Winter, a spokesman for the coroner’s office. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:56 p.m., Winter said.

Damn cousin its been a year. We miss you dearly. Cant believe someone took you from us so early. Its so hard even driving down that street knowing thats where some idiot took you from us. You are and will forever be truely missed. And for the record he was not a gang member. He had just came home from the service. He was a soldier. Not street but military. man i miss you so much uncle i have a lot of memories with you but one of my favorites was when leilani came out here from ocean side we all went to muligans we had so much fun and it was one of the best days of my life glad we all shared it together you was just so happy and excited to see your daughter it was a wonderful site to see that look on your face you had a bright smile that lid up the room man i can hear you laughing right now as i type this it hurts a lot thinking about how you passed away and the way it happened makes it even worst for us all especially my mom im going to end this with i love you so much uncle rest in paradise i know you are already because you've always been a child of GOD i know your looking over us as are guardian angel so continue to fly with the angels uncle see you when my time comes
