Tiffany Woods, 21

Tiffany Woods, a 21-year-old black woman, was shot while sitting in a car in an alley behind 321 W. Alondra Ave. in Compton about 9:50 p.m Sunday, March 9.

According to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department, Woods was sitting inside a car with a friend and a child when four men approached the car. An argument broke out between the men and the two women and shots were fired. The child was not injured.

Woods and her friend were taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 10:23 p.m. Her friend was listed in stable condition, authorities said.
