Tyrone Green

Tyrone Green, a 68-year-old black man, was beaten and died Thursday, Dec. 24, in the 1200 block of South Atlantic Drive in Compton, authorities said.

Deputies found Green severely beaten and lying on the floor of his apartment after they received a call about a person not breathing, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department news release.

Green was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:36 p.m. No other information was immediately available.
