Ventura Saenz, a 19-year-old Latino young man, was shot in the face by a sheriff's deputy near the intersection of Pixley Avenue and Muriel Avenue in Compton; he died at 1:58 a.m. Saturday, May 12.
Saenz died in an exchange of gunfire, according to the Sheriff's Department's account. The deputy pulled over Saenz , who was driving a pickup, on suspicion of making an illegal U-turn. Saenz stopped the pickup, then sped off when the deputy approached. The deputy got back in his patrol car and stopped him again.
Saenz reportedly did not obey orders to get out of the pickup, and fired a gun at the deputy, missing him. The deputy fired back and hit him. Saenz was transported to a hospital, where he died. A passenger in the pickup truck, an 18-year-old Latino man, was taken into custody. It was the fourth killing by a law-enforcement officer in four days.

Ventura was a very Loving Person,He cared so much about his Family & His 3 Daughters.I have 2 beutiful Twin Girls From Him.Best gift ever<3 We weren't the Happiest Ppl we had our ups nd downs but some how we manage to pull it through.We had our Twins in March 18 Or Twins were due till May 12 a day before they took his Life Away! =/ So I'm glad he was here for my Birth Those were thee BEST DAY ever.Just by looking at him I Knew that's what he needed..Just Us but ofcourse there were Hoodrats who didn't know how to respect a Marry Man.But as you see I got the biggest treasure ever My GIRLS..<3. They look just like him nd I'm proud to say I always Loved you nd even though ur not longer here ur always in my Heart..
Ps.And as for Mariee I'm sorry to hear that ur baby didn't make it.It would have bn nice to meet his blood..

Well ventura and me dated for a while but he left me for a girl named stephanie I was hurt that he did that to me but I still loved him and I want to say sorry for his family's lost and even though we ened bad you will always be in my heart ventura and for his family keep your head up

Ventura was a loving caring person that was a really funny guy me and him dated I'm really sorry for his familys lost well if it helps at least he's in a better place now if it helps ventura use to like to go to signal hills in long beach and just think we use to go their a lot when we dated you will always be in my heart ventura

Well I'm sorry to hear ventura died like this I was a good friend of his su mejor Amiga and I can say he was a very good guy that just wanted to live lifehes use to always tell me he was inlove with a girl but tjay her family didn't like him or his brother and that's why he use to drink a lot and be with a lot of girls so no ppl he wasn't a bad guy or gangster he
was just heart broken and wherever stephanie is I wnder if she know he died because. That was the girl he use to cry to me about and especially because she also dated his cousin pedro and that hurt him a lot like I mean a lot so nobody really knows what he went through so all yhe stupid ppl that say he was a gangster he wasn't ok I loved him and he will always have a special place in my heart and in. Heaven we are going to be as good as friends to
