Victor De Los Santos, 19
Died June 5, 2010 at 12:45 a.m.
Victor De Los Santos, a 19-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Saturday, June 5, in the 3300 block of Verdugo Road in Glassell Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Police responded to reports that shots had been fired early Saturday morning and found De Los Santos suffering from several gunshot wounds, said LAPD Northeast Det. TJ Morris.
De Los Santos was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:45 a.m., according to coroner's records.
Another victim, a 19-year-old Latino, was also shot and taken to Glendale Memorial Hospital, Morris said. He was later transferred to another hospital for treatment.
At least one of the victims had gang ties, Morris said, and it’s believed the shooting was gang-related.
Currently, investigators do not have a description of the possible shooter, Morris said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Dets. Sean Wells or Jose Carrillo at (213) 847-4261.

Victor was a great person like many people have said he had it coming but this boy was amazing he had potential he just chose to be a certain way and it found its way to him the last time i heard from victor was last year and i haven't seen him since them and when i heard of this incident it broke my heart because i cared so much for him which was also ironic because i had been thinking of him wondering where he was I'm still grieving and just wish it wouldn't have been this way and i hope they do get whoever did this to him because the truth will prevail i wish his family the best especially his sisters because they were so close RestInPeace Victor you will be strongly missed and thought of wherever you may be

Its a shame how things turn out with the decisions they make. Im not that much older than victor and i'm really starting to believe you never know when it's your time. growing up with him are memories that are suddenly passing through my mind like a movie but the what if's never leave my mind either. what if he chose a different path would he had been the star athelete he was in san pasqual? The fastest runner or the great basket ball player? He was a great kid i lost touch with him and his family but i'm sure he was a great young man as well a good heart never fades and im sure on his short time here he never stopped making people smile and warming theirs hearts. Rest IN Paradise victor de los santos que vivas bien con los angelitos

RIP Mr. Victor. I hope this teaches a lot of kids lessons on where they can end up if they choose the wrong path. It's unfortunate that this will always go on, but there are people that can still have a change because they are alive. Please kids, please make LA a peaceful place to live in. It is such a wonderful city..... I bet if many of you just tried something different with your lives, went back to school, or got a decent job and stayed out of the streets, you would see that you CAN. I say out of experience. I was like "wow, I did it." Life is soooooo beautiful to not take advantage of it......

Syscom3, just stop. Quite frequently I agree with your comments on these boards, but here you're just looking to be mean. Clearly Liz is grieving, and that was a nickname she had for him.

Victor was a beloved son and brother to his extremely hard working father, mother, and to his very charming and intelligent sisters who are truly going places in their lifetime. My prayer is that they will be at peace now knowing that Victor is with God and in a less confusing place than that which he found here. All ties are severed now, he is free, no more confusion, self-doubt, no more pressure to be the opposite of what his parents wanted him to be. He is free.

It's too bad you all cant learn to hold your emotion before pulling the trigger.. The real deal is that these kids dont want to read a book but blame the system for the way it is..Now he is gone..poor kid had a future but someone told there wasnt a future..There is..it's between your ears.
Very sorry to the family..

I still cant believe Victor is no longer with us. His presence is still with me even though I live like 300 miles away from him. in my heart he is still there. I will always miss Victor, my buddy from middle school.

I dont know. He made his choices. Friends were a big influence. We should get all the HLKS for bringing this upon him. Specially that prick they call ANTI. That worthless scum.
