Wilber Panameno, 21

Wilber Panameno, a 21-year-old white man, was shot in the chest and right arm in the 5200 block of St. Andrews Place in Vermont Square and died July 29, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

Panameno was standing on a street corner with a friend when a vehicle drove up and someone inside opened fire, said Craig Harvey, chief coroner's investigator. Panameno was shot at 12:05 p.m. and was taken to a hospital, where he died at 1:52 p.m., Harvey said.
