Wilbert Robertson, a 22-year-old black man, was shot and killed Wednesday, May 19, in the 200 block of West 41st Place in Historic South-Central, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Robertson was shot about 10:10 p.m.

He was taken to a hospital, where he died about 10:40 p.m. due to complication from his injuries, according to coroner's records.

Robertson was the victim of a walk-up shooting, Winter said.

The coroner's office had no additional details about the case and several calls to detectives were not returned.

The Times will post more information about the incident as soon as it becomes available.

— d.rias, you just remember the anger you feel come election day.

Why vote in the same do nothing politicians that seem to only make problems worse, with each election cycle?

Why vote for politicians who take your vote for granted and will never deliver on their promises?

Look in the mirror and stare at yourself. Are you ready for change?

To the chosen one,

This family is asking why because Wilbert didn't gang bang. You need to get your facts straight before you comment. Ummreally and I'm keeping it real.

to the choosen one your one of the main reasons why tragic things like this happens.passing judgement on someone who you do not know like the devil who killed my nephew because he assumed knew knew my nephew was in a gang.but since you know everything you forgot to say my nephew was a family man who took pride in raising his now two yr old daughter whos left without a father and also attend collage.wasnt nor live in the area where this happen but was only visiting his sister, niece and nephews as he did all the time.but since what he wore was alittle begging or he worn a hoodie sweater his a thug im so sorry but thats not the case here.so next time know the real facts not the half ass facts you read.sincerly his family :)
