William Wells, 60

William Wells, a 60-year-old white man, was stabbed to death Friday, April 9, in the 1900 block of East 5th Street in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Police arrived at a senior living center about 7 a.m. and found Wells with stab wounds, said Officer Jackie Bezart of the Long Beach Police Department. The victim was taken to a hospital, where he died at 7:42 a.m., according to coroner's records.

Long Beach police late Friday identified the assailant in connection with the incident as 82-year-old Gilbert Baca, Wells’ roommate at the facility. He has been charged with murder.
