Willie Brown, 22

Died April 6, 2009 at 1:45 a.m.

Willie Brown, a 22-year-old black man, was shot several times early on the morning of Monday, April 6, 2009, while parked in a car in the 1500 block of East Rosecrans Avenue in Compton, authorities said.

He was taken to a hospital, where he died later the same day, according to Los Angeles County sheriff's records. Another black man was shot and wounded in the incident. Sheriff's officials said they believe the shooting was gang-related.
