Yancy Cage, 39

Yancy Cage, a 39-year-old black man, was shot and killed Saturday, April 3, in the 100 block of East 65th Street in South L.A., according to Det. Tommy Thompson of the LAPD Newton Division.
Yancy and his brother Reynaud Cage Jr., a 48-year-old black man, were walking on the street around 1:30 p.m. when they were approached and shot by an unknown assailant, Thompson said.
They were taken to California Hospital, where they both died, Thompson said. Yancy was pronounced dead at 2:04 p.m., according to coroner's records.
Investigators say the shooter was a black man; however they could not provide a further description.

How was this not on the tv news? Maye I missed it. two brothers dead by the hand of another black male I hope they catch the killer. Us blacks are so easy to kill, this crap has to stop. Two grown men shot dead in the streets

first off i would like to start off by saying Yancey and Nardy will forever be missed they were great brothers,fathers,uncles,and so much more.GOD BLESS U FOREVER AND EVER IN YOUR NEW LIFE

This for my friends who just lost to good men in there life's put your hand's up to th sky we will never say goodbye.Yancy that huge you give me i'll never let that go but i know you reached a better place it's been so long that i've seen you and now i got to say bye!For now see you at the crossroads! I have to be strong about this , not only for myself but for my sisters , brother and my family . I Love and miss you Daddy , I know that your in a better place where you dont have to worry about no more pain , its love all the way . I`ll never forget your wishes and what you expected out of me . I will keep your legacy and spirit alive , I just hope that you be with me all the way till i`m out . I just posted this on another site. Hopefully someone will see this and contact me. I see his name and I still can't wrap my head around it! There is only one Yancey Cage that used to live in my area but I still accept it. Are we talking about MY YANCEY? He ususally calls and checks up on me every few years and he's due any day now. Please don't tell me...we have so much to talk about!
If this is not not my dear friend..I apologize. I can't imagine your loss and I my prayers go out to your family. If it is ..Dear God, my heart is breaking as I type. I'll be waiting on his call and if it never comes I'll still be waiting.

i truly do miss you uncle you was like a second father to me! you was my daddy best friend and you meant the world to us, but we realize that you are in a better place and i will be one of the pple who continue to live your legacy and always keep the love you have for me in my heart!! Man I can't believe this is true im a year late. You've been gone this whole time and I thought u were still here. I should of called u a year ago. I should of asssured u that u could count on me when ever u needed me. Man Yancey I can't believe this is true. I asked about u today to see how u were doing. I never expected to hear that we lost u to some B.S. I want you're fam. To no that u we're a hard working man that wanted the best for ure family. That took his job seriously and never backed down from a hard day of work I've never lost a co-worker / friend. And im thankful to the lord that we got to work together.I wish the Cage family strength and faith in Gods decision. You're homey.... Hector.
