Zachary Fellows, a 19-year-old white man, was fatally shot Thursday, Dec. 29, in the 4500 block of Rosecrans Boulevard in West Compton, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Authorities say Fellows was walking along a sidewalk with a woman about 7:45 p.m. when the shooter drove alongside them in a midsize sport-utility vehicle.
“The driver got out, confronted the victim, fired several shots, then got back in the vehicle and fled the scene,” said Sheriff's Deputy Benjamin Grubb.
Fellows was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Grubb said. The woman walking with the victim was unharmed.
No arrests have been made. The shooting was possibly gang-related, officials said.

This did not happen in Compton. This happened in Hawthorne, CA. It's still sad. Violence needs to stop.

That map or the address is wrong because 4659 Rosecrans ave is by Atantic and Lime off Rosecrans so the address is wrong as for it being in the city of Compton, Ca.

I walked by there this morning and read the messages friends and family left. So sad. I'm so sorry to hear that we can't even take a walk. To look at the blood stained cement broke my heart. I didn't know this kid but sorry that his young life is over. There's a large photo of him with a big smile on his face. I hope his smile is in even bigger in Heaven. The bible says that" satan comes to steal kill and destroy ". Don't let him get you, call upon our Lord and Savior "Jesus" the Bible says "He'd never leave nor forsake us". GOD BLESS

Zachary at heart was a wonderful young man. If you knew him you could not love him. His fate was given to him by God, He told Zachary it is time my child come home. The person we must give our heart and pra.
yers to is his Mother. Believe me Bobby my prayers are with you. Bobby your know I lost my son 07/11/2009 in the same way a senseless taking of such a young loving man

I don't know what it feels like to lose a child, but I can imagine the pain after losing a very close nephew.
