Claimed off amnesty waivers in July 2014, Boozer joined the Lakers following four seasons with the Chicago Bulls.

Boozer, a two-time NBA All-Star and a member of the 2008 gold-medal winning U.S. Olympic team, played at Duke before being selected 35th overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2002. He played two seasons in Cleveland before signing with the Utah Jazz in 2004. After six productive seasons with the Jazz, he was acquired by the Bulls in a sign-and-trade deal.

Heading into the 2014-15 season, Boozer has averaged 16.6 points and 9.8 rebounds per game during his career.
