Known for his extraordinary height, the 7-foot-5 center was a member of the Lakers' 1984-85 championship team that defeated the Boston Celtics for the first time in nine NBA Finals meetings. He played in 15 regular-season games for L.A. in 1984-85 and 1985-86 before heading to the Detroit Pistons.
