A standout at North Carolina State, Chucky Brown started in two of the 36 games he appeared in with the Lakers after signing as a free agent in December 1991. Brown, who played for an NBA-record-tying 12 teams in his 13-year career, signed with New Jersey in October 1992 after his rights were renounced by the Lakers. He was part of the Houston Rockets' NBA championship team in 1995 before retiring in 2002. Brown joined the Lakers’ NBA development team -- the Los Angeles D-Fenders -- as an assistant in 2006 before being promoted to coach in 2009.
