Guard, #6 (also wore #25 )

Drafted by the Lakers in the first round of the 1994 NBA draft, Jones averaged 14 points per game and 2.1 steals per game in his rookie season and finished fourth in rookie of the year balloting.

Jones spent the first five seasons of his career with the Lakers and was a crowd favorite, usually camping out on the wing and knocking down mid-range jumpers.

Jones was named to the Western Conference All-Star team in 1996-97 and 1997-98 and was named to the 1997-98 and 1998-99 NBA All-Defensive second team.

The Lakers sent him and Elden Campbell to Charlotte on March 10, 1999, for B.J. Armstrong, J.R. Reid and Glen Rice.
