A second-round pick of the Chicago Bulls in the 1966 NBA draft, Mueller averaged 12.7 points per game was named to the NBA all-rookie team in his first season. He was traded to the Lakers midway through his second season for Jim Barnes. The Lakers sent him back to the Bulls after the season for Keith Erickson.
