Forward, #6

Signed to a two-year deal by the Lakers prior to the start of the lockout-shortened 2011-12 season, McRoberts took over a backup forward role that was left vacant by Lamar Odom’s trade to Dallas. McRoberts, who played with Portland and Indiana before landing in Los Angeles, saw plenty of playing time at the beginning of the season with starting center Andrew Bynum serving a four-game suspension. He averaged six points and nearly 25 minutes per game through the first five games before heading to the bench. From there, McRoberts’ minutes plummeted in favor of teammate Troy Murphy as he struggled to take over the role once assumed by Odom.
