Selected by the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the 1995 draft, Bennett saw limited action in 45 games with the Lakers during the 1997-98 season. Perhaps his most memorable moment in purple and gold came when he was fined by the team for missing a road game in Vancouver after he failed to obtain a passport. The former Arizona State standout played briefly for the Clippers in 1999 before moving his career to Europe.
