Traded to the Lakers from Detroit in June 2006, Maurice Evans was with the Lakers for a little more than one season and spent most of it as a backup to Kobe Bryant. Still, he played in 76 games during the 2006-07 season (with 10 starts) and scored more than 20 points seven times, including a season-high 26 against the Golden State Warriors in February.
Evans was traded with Brian Cook to the Orlando Magic for Trevor Ariza on Nov. 20, 2007.
