Selected 48th overall by the Lakers in the 2013 NBA draft, Kelly played primarily a supporting role off the bench during his rookie NBA season. His minutes increased as injuries started to take their toll on the Lakers' roster in the second half of the season.
Kelly started in 25 of the 59 games he appeared in, averaging 8.0 points per game. The former Duke standout scored a career-high 26 points in a win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in February. He scored 24 points in a March loss to the Denver Nuggets.
In July 2014, Kelly signed a two-year contract with the Lakers.
