Tyronn Lue

Guard, #10

Lue was selected in the first round of the 1998 NBA draft by the Denver Nuggets and was traded to the Lakers with Tony Battie for Nick Van Exel on draft night.

Lue was almost a nonentity his first three seasons with the team, with injuries diminishing much of his effectiveness and playing time. He earned his keep in the 2001 NBA Finals, however.

Coach Phil Jackson needed a player who could defend and annoy Philadelphia's Allen Iverson, and he found that player in Lue, who was able to frustrate Iverson during key sequences of each game as the Lakers won the series, 4-1.

Lue signed with Washington after the season, and as of December 2010 is director of basketball development for the Boston Celtics.
