1993-94 Season

Record: 33-49, fifth place in Pacific Division

With the team sputtering in late March, the Lakers replaced Coach Randy Pfund with Magic Johnson and it seemed to work for a while, as the Lakers went 5-1 in their first six games under Johnson. But they ended the season with a 10-game losing streak and finished well out of playoff contention as Johnson's coaching career came to an ignominious end.

Playoffs: The Lakers did not qualify for the playoffs.
