Reader comments on life in Gramercy Park

The borders are correct for this community, but the name is wrong. The official name of the community is, in which the city has city signs of around its bourders, is "WEST PARK TERRACE".

I wonder if the designation "Gramercy Park" really covers ALL that territory you have in your demarcation. When I was a kid I lived at 91st and Denker and was not in Gramercy Park. Gramercy Park, then, was bounded by Manchester on the north, Western Ave. on the east, Van Ness on the west, and about 92nd St. on the South. It was a small area of very nice houses, a little newer than the rest of the area. I doubt that it even went as far south as 92nd St. Maybe what you have is a census tract, but that doesn't equate to what used to be called Gramercy Park.

A most interesting project you have undertaken!
