      When the AVERAGE SAT score is reported, you must include the number of students who took the test as a number and as a percent of the student population.

      Ideally, the scores of seniors would be most relevant.

      For example,Out of 600 seniors at school a, 200 took the test and averaged 1700, while at school B 450 of 600 seniors took the test and averaged 1575. It is common knowledge that as more students tes, the average goes down.
