    Two comments about Hillcrest Drive Elementary

    After someone exterminates the grounds for roaches and rodents, it would be great to paint up the numbers on the ground where children are suppose to line up. It would have sent an incredible "We care" type of message if someone would have at least done this for the first day of school. If you can't do the little things, how can you be counted on to do something so major as educating children?

    HILLCREST is far below substandard. It's Jonathan Kozol's Savage inequalities at its best ...

    To increase the academic performance, funds need to be allocated to pay or reward students for higher grades in an operationally defined program; mathematically designed to optimize student participation.

    A pilot study would most likely illustrate the efficacy of such a program.
