Five comments about the Toland Way Elementary
I was a student here in 1941.I remember
life was different then. There was respect for teachers and everyone was extremely patriotic, afterall we were in a war we didnt know if we would win.We were humble, didnt need to not get along.the fire marshal came and showed us students how to put out incendary bomb fires with a pail of sand,we took dimes&other change to school to buy a jeep for the war effort. We all worked together. no one squabbled-----how different ~

this is the worst school ever my son didnt even lear anything and his teacher are very mean and he heard his teacher say cr**
My child is returning to Toland Way as a 2nd grader this year. He really likes Toland Way and loved his first grade teacher Mrs. Turko. He's excited to have Ms. Naples this year. He likes his friends and he's a happy guy at Toland Way. The administration and teachers are really competent and caring people. The principal is friendly, professional and knows the children. The kids are great and the parents I've met are nice and supportive. There is no PTA but there are parent groups that help the administration focus on academic goals. I'm hoping that parents pay even more attention to homework being completed each night at home so that Toland Way kids master their grade level education. These kids are smart, charming and the future of L.A.
