One comment about Welby Way Elementary

I am a parent of a teacher at Welby Way. My wife and I have raised three children, all of whom are graduates of Welby Way. One is a third grade teacher there, my others are a high school english
instructor at the local high school all attended and
the third is an attorney. My children attended at a time when parental involvement was an intergral
part of the curriculum. I know my daughter is an excellent teacher and would make an excellent administrator should she choose to follow that career path. From what I have seen, students today are not what they once were. Maybe that is a byproduct of all the distractions out there via internet, and other electronic devises that did not exist when my children were in school. I believe holding the teacher solely responsible for poor performance is unfair without holding both the parents and the child responsible as well.
