Five comments about the Ivy Academia

Coming from a high socio-economic education system myself, I am elated about the academic accomplishments my children have achieved. My children's education levels are far ahead of their neighborhood friends. The teachers have made learning interesting. The kids are excited to go each day. Ivy works to strengthen the education triangle (teachers, parents, student) that so many schools are unable to accomplish. The school is excellent at finding the right level of education for each of its students, whether it's for special needs or accelerated programs. Kudos to the Ivy adminstration for its educationally synergistic program. It's a parents dream come true for the price of a public education.

I don't know where the negativity of the previous comments are coming from. I am coming from a high socioeconomic background, my child was enrolled in a private school befroe joining Ivy, and they are doing an excellent job. Sometimes parents need to question their children's ability before they blame the school for not performing.
    Keep it up Ivy.

I made the mistake of sending my child to this school. Don't fall into the hype of a "private school education with the public school price." They try to create a private school feel with their required uniforms and small class sizes due to the lack of enrollment, but their academics are terrible. They can't keep teachers long enough and the students truly suffer for this. My child has learned absolutely nothing at this school and the teachers would rather put on a DVD for them to watch instead of teaching them.

For any parent to say this is a great school is misleading. Those parents obviously have fallen into the hype that the administration so wants you to believe. Many of the children who go to this school are from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. Their parents want to "pretend" their child is in a prestigious school, but the school is far from anything good. Stay away and don't make the mistake I did.

Your child, if not a social reject, will most likely hate you for sending them to this school.

I am a parent of an Ivy student my daughter is in 8th grade at the Chatsworth site and she loves it. Its just like a private school with no religion and I highly recommend this school, because it has so many academics and what school gives students the chance to learn chinese, hebrew, spanish, or russian. And all the teachers are great and unlike a public school the teachers are so on top of things and don't take any nonsense and let you know if your child is falling behind. So send your kids to Ivy its a great school!!!!
