I loved him because he wasn't afraid to be himself with me. He didn't really want people to know it, but he was actually very sweet. He had a really good heart.

My heart goes out to the family. I am president of American War Mothers, Chapter 6, Whittier, California. We would like to send his mother a handmade blanket in memory of Bret. please contact me via e-mail, xochiltrrt@yahoo.com
God Bless Brett and his family. I did not know him rather I recognize him as a Patriot who gave his all for Family and Country.
I'm from the town where Brett attended elementary and junior high school and where he was also laid to rest. No words can heal the hurt that his family is feeling but know that we are all truly grateful for his bravery and service to our country. He truly touched our community and he will not be forgotten.
17 weeks as a battle buddy and a bunk mate, forever a brother...I pray for his wife and newly born daughter. His daughter will grow up knowing that her father was a Patriot who paid the ultimate price for her freedom and for ours.
God Bless the fallen warrior's family.
My prayers go to Brett and his family and thank you Brett for your service and bravery.
Dear Mrs. Land & Family:
I 'm so sorry for the lost of your love one. Congratulation on your new baby. It's so sad he or she won't have the chance to know their father. When you have some time, read in your Bible Psalms 46:9 there it talks about war will be no more and also, at Psalms 37:11 it talks about there will be an abundance of peace all over the earth. These scriptures will be fulfill in the very near future. May Jehovah God , the God of Comfort be with you all.
