He was all about the Army. Everybody just looked up to him, because he was so smart.... He never made a soldier do something he wouldn't do himself.

One memory of Brian L. Walker

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your dear love one, Brian.

When we have lost a loved one in death, the pain, the grief, and the feelings of helplessness can seem unbearable. At such times, we need to go to God's Word for comfort(2 Corinthians 1:3,4) The Bible helps us to understand how God(Jehovah) and his Son(Jesus) feel about death. The Bible tells us that Jesus had a close friend by the name of Lazarus, who became sick and later on dead. The account says, Jesus " gave way to tears."(John11:33, 35) Jesus then prayed to his Heavenly Father(Jehovah) God[John 11:41,42-44] Yes Jesus resurrected his dear friend Lazarus from the grave. The account teaches us that Jesus and his Father, Jehovah, hate death. But Jehovah God is able to fight and overcome that enemy. On one other occasion Jesus made this promise: someday " all those in the memorial tombs" will be resurrected. (John 5:28,29) Yes many millions of people who have died in the grave will return to life on earth[Luke 23:43; Acts 24:15] Those resurrected ones will be able to learn the truth about God and exercise faith in Jesus(John 3:16) by obeying him. Those who return to life and do good things will be able to enjoy life forever on earth- Revelation 20:11-13; Revelation 21:3, 4. Read Psalm 37: 11, 29. The resurrection tells us about Jehovah's love and undeserved kindness. When the dead return to life, whom do you especially want to see?
