Whenever there was a [helicopter] crash, he would call us. He knew that we would be worried. He always called to tell us he was fine.
    — Louis Brewster, father

Brewster celebrated his 21st birthday in Afghanistan and his 22nd in Iraq. He turned 24 a week before he died along with nine other soldiers in a crash of a CH-47 Chinook transport helicopter along the Pakistan border.

Brian, remember when we used to go to Fontana High (FoHi) and you were always the center of attention with your humor. You always know how to get to someone's heart. I hope you remember me because from today forward, you will always be remembered and thanked for what you have done for the United States' freedom. Upon reviewing this article, it came to me as a great shock that you will no longer be with us. However, your soul is at rest and you will be comforted by God's heavenly mantle. See you soon Brian.
