I know that when I get up to greet him, when it's my time, he's going to say, 'Good job, Mom.' He's not going to accuse me of dishonoring his memory
    — Cindy Sheehan, mother

Since his death, Sheehan's mother, Cindy, has become the nation's most prominent anti-war activist. She demanded and received a private meeting with President Bush after setting up an anti-war protest camp near his ranch in Crawford, Texas. Sheehan's parents, high school sweethearts, divorced after he was killed.

    Two memories of Casey Sheehan

I know Casey through his mother and hearing of her loss.
God bless you and thank you Casey. You would be proud of your mother. She stood up and made others recognize the true sacrifices that families of war dead bear.
