Any kind of airplane he could find, we had here in this house, he used to tell me 'Mom, I'm going to jump out of a plane someday.'
    — Annie Palmer, mother

Palmer left home for basic training on Sept. 10, 2001. His mother said when hijacked airliners struck the World Trade Center and the Pentagon the next day, she knew that her son would have to fight in a war. He served a year in Iraq before he was deployed to Afghanistan.

It breaks my heart to see another young man perish before his life even started. As A Gulf War Veteran that was 24 years old when I served, I can't imagine the hole Pvt. Palmer's death has created within his family. My heart goes out to them.

God Bless you! God has a special place in Heaven for you. Your death will not be forgotten. Thank you for the freedom that I have to write this comment. God bless your family and loved ones!
