He wanted to serve his country. He would tell me, 'Why send somebody who doesn't want to go? I want to go and protect you guys.'
    — Haidy Dunn, widow

An accomplished runner, Dunn transferred to Rialto High from Moreno Valley High because of Rialto's superior track program. His father served 22 years in the Army.

Two memories of Clayton G. Dunn II

Clayton was such a great person inside and out. He made his wife (my sister) feel like a queen. He stood by her through the difficult times and while he was deployed, their love only grew stronger. We will meet again!!

Army Sergeant Dunn is buried next to my son, SPC Cameron K. Payne at the Riverside National Memorial Cemetery. They both were killed in action within weeks of each other. Rest in peace Soldiers. You will never be forgotten.
