Daniel told me, 'No matter what happens, no matter where I go, Mom, don't cry. Don't be sad.'

    Six memories of Daniel Isshak

I just found out tonight that Dan was dead. All I can say is that he was a close friend of mine, and I am sad that I wont get to hear that laugh of his again. Dan Isshak was one of the best people I ever knew. I will never forget him.

I've never met Daniel before in my life--I just happened to visit this LA Times page on Memorial Day and saw that he went to the same high school as me and i just completely broke down because all of sudden I felt some sort of connection. Maybe it's because he likely walked to some of the same classrooms that I did and maybe had some of the same teachers. But then he went to serve our country and what Daniel did can never be appreciated enough.

I never meet and know him. I am also a Muslim from Southeast Asia .. and hate extremism. Having a Muslim sacrifice himself defending freedom and mental slavery make me proud that majority Muslim hate violence by the name of God and religion ... May God bless his soul ...

I served with Daniel in Hawaii and Iraq. He was an awesome individual that touched so many lives with his warm and caring personality. He was friend to many but a true hero to all.

THANK YOU!!!!!!! For your sacrifice, words do little to describe our sincere gratitude. However, There is a hope for a future where such wonderful people will not have to die in the wars of the world. ISAIAH 2:4 And he will certainly render judgment among the nations and set matters straight respecting many nations and set matters straight respecting many peoples. And they will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore....REV 21:3,4-"death will be no more"
