    One memory of Derek T. Roberts

    Derek was my son's best friend in the 8th grade. I remember him as kind, sweet young man. I remember the half pipe that he had in his front yard My son and Derek would spend hours skating there hearts out. I'm sorry I didn't know of Derek's death until now. I guess we just take for granted that the people we care about are always going to be there. Derek was a fine young man and I'm happy that I at least got to know him. Even if it was just for a little bit. We'll miss you Derek.
