Morgan's wife, Teresa, was pregnant with their second child when he was killed. "When I think of Dwight, he was a Marine you could look up to," said Cpl. Jesse D. Phipps. "He was always squared-away.... An empty space in my heart will be hard to fill. I wasn't ready to say goodbye."

I am not a watcher of 7th Heaven, however I did happen to stumble across a re-run this morning and because of it's content, I was unable to change the channel. The second half of the show I spent crying.
My husband served in the Marines and did a tour in Iraq. I am thankful every day that he returned safely.
I am so proud of our men and women fighting. It's something I could never do. Those people have that special something inside of them that not everyone possesses. It's what sets them apart from everyone else. It's what makes them fight without question. It's what makes them serve with absolute honor without ever really feeling like a hero.
Staff Sergeant Dwight J. Morgan, you were an irreplaceable part of this world, and I know that the loss of your life leaves many with holes in their hearts. But you died with honor and those who you leave behind will remember you with pride.
God Bless our military.

I too watched the 7th heaven episode dedicated to you, and I wanted to express my thoughts. This is a poem I wrote around 2006 called "war".

war is something
that nobody needs
war only ends
when somebody bleeds

the enemies are catagorized
each given a name
but to me they are human
and bleed just the same

the yellows the reds
the enemies are plenty
the winners are happy
when thier guns are all empty

cuts and scrapes
and bruises may loom
but the military aren't happy
'til the enemy goes boom

the evils of war
are all around us
most are disquised
by a word they call justice

but where is the justice
in seeing people die
to me it's just cowardice
wrapped up in a lie

just childish playground
bullying stuff
who's army is bigger
who can play rough

don't try to hit me
and then take my toy
I'll come back stronger
and take all your joy

kill your family and loved ones
and everyone around
leave you with nothing
but a spot in the ground

come after you next
with my next round of ammo
when you least expect it
turn around and whamo

I've got you you're dead
oh what great joy
now next time they'll know
don't take my toy

but wait, now there is no one
left here to hurt
only me standing
alone on the dirt

the moral of the story
is not hard to escape
please stop the killing

I just watched 7th Heaven and wow what an episode only if more shows were like that. My sister's dog gave birth to puppies and a soldier adopted one of our puppies in fact it was our runt I felt so honored that one of our puppies will bring this soldier much joy. When I called him to check up on the puppy he was laying in bed with the puppy on his chest I was just so happy I could give him such a gift he had just returned from Afghanistan. When I told him I was so greatful and honored to know him he said I did not realised someone would care so much and that should not be so they need to know how much we love them and how greatful we are for them! I want to thank Staff Sgt. Dwight J. Morgan and all our military for the sacrifices they make for us. I am Canadian we are neighbors of America and proud to fight alongside with you to make this world a safer place. I will never forget those who even fought before we were born God Bless <3

SSGT.DWIGHT MORGAN, is my first born child. He has always been and always will be my angel. His brother Chip is my second angel and their sister Jasmine, was my third angel, she passed 11 years before Dwight did. My second angel is still with us and for that I'm extremely grateful.
I've been blessed with Dwight two sons, Alex 17 and Jason almost 12. I don't know what I would of done or who I would of been without them. They are my joys. Dwight's brother, Chip has blessed me with 2 granddaughters, Mimi is 8 and Gwenieve 15mths. No matter how much time passes, I will never forget about my losses. I am however very proud and very grateful for the honor of giving birth and raising a Marine and his brother. I'm really glad I stuck around to watch the miracles that are in my life.

I watched the episode of 7th Heaven the known solider and it broke my heart to hear that Staff Sergeant Dwight J. Morgan was killed in action and it made think that my sister was over there when the episode aired and a day later the news was on and it said that over 300 hundred u.s. soldiers were killed. I,m so glad that my sister was ok and very thankful that she made it home safely. So my thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Staff Sergeant Dwight J. Morgan God has an angel watching over u. Thank you Staff Sergeant Dwight J. Morgan for your act of bravery and outstanding service. You make me proud to be a daughter, niece, cousin, and sister to my family that served

My friend, Staff Sergeant Dwight Morgan is remembered this day of May 28th, 2018. I remember on this Memorial Day 2018 all that have served and died for us but for me more importantly Sergeant Morgan who I was lucky to call friend. How I miss those good old days when I lived in San Diego working with his wife at a local Auto Insurance company. I remember I was even entrusted/privileged to have baby sat their son so they could go on dates together when Dwight was off duty. Dwight had great personal strength that made him such a great solider. He was a great example that one can push through an indifferent childhood and make life happen when one is freed by 18 rather than go downward. Again he died in support of the USA under, Operation Enduring Freedom, servicing our country until January 19, 2002 (dying in serve). So again, on this Memorial Day I thank you for giving your life in service to our country. May God bless your soul Sergeant Morgan and may God continue to watch over your family that you left behind.
