It's like somebody stepping on your heart.
    — Maj. T.V. Johnson, Marine spokesman

Morgan's wife, Teresa, was pregnant with their second child when he was killed. "When I think of Dwight, he was a Marine you could look up to," said Cpl. Jesse D. Phipps. "He was always squared-away.... An empty space in my heart will be hard to fill. I wasn't ready to say goodbye."

I am not a watcher of 7th Heaven, however I did happen to stumble across a re-run this morning and because of it's content, I was unable to change the channel. The second half of the show I spent crying.
My husband served in the Marines and did a tour in Iraq. I am thankful every day that he returned safely.
I am so proud of our men and women fighting. It's something I could never do. Those people have that special something inside of them that not everyone possesses. It's what sets them apart from everyone else. It's what makes them fight without question. It's what makes them serve with absolute honor without ever really feeling like a hero.
Staff Sergeant Dwight J. Morgan, you were an irreplaceable part of this world, and I know that the loss of your life leaves many with holes in their hearts. But you died with honor and those who you leave behind will remember you with pride.
    God Bless our military.

Thank you 7th Heaven for telling such a beautiful story of such a brave American. My prayers are with all who have served and sacrificed so much in order for us to enjoy freedom in this country. It is a reminder for us to treat each other with kindness and love. We have the power to make the world a better place simply by remembering to be better people.

I am not sure if I could read all of this about my loved one who gave so much. I am so sorry for your loss. My nephew is in the Army and has done 2 tours. I prayed everyday for his and all of our men and women to come home safe. SSG Morgan gave all for me, some gave, and some gave all for all of us. How proud and sad you must be. I am so proud of our men and women and to be living in our beautiful country. To all service ppl, past and present
God bless you, the USA and THANKYOU!!

I'm a Belgian girl and I was watching 7th Heaven earlier. This sunday it has exactly been 10 years after 911. I only was 9 years old in 2001, but I remember very good what I did that day!

I'm a political sciences student now and I learn a lot of how 911 changed the world, what I wanted to say is that I'm moved to see the USA fight for their rights... Thank you Staff Sgt. Dwight J. Morgan, this episode of 7th Heaven made me realise what you guys do! Not only for the united states, but also for the rest of the world!

Thanks, from a European girl from Belgium!

I just watched 7th Heaven and wow what an episode only if more shows were like that. My sister's dog gave birth to puppies and a soldier adopted one of our puppies in fact it was our runt I felt so honored that one of our puppies will bring this soldier much joy. When I called him to check up on the puppy he was laying in bed with the puppy on his chest I was just so happy I could give him such a gift he had just returned from Afghanistan. When I told him I was so greatful and honored to know him he said I did not realised someone would care so much and that should not be so they need to know how much we love them and how greatful we are for them! I want to thank Staff Sgt. Dwight J. Morgan and all our military for the sacrifices they make for us. I am Canadian we are neighbors of America and proud to fight alongside with you to make this world a safer place. I will never forget those who even fought before we were born God Bless <3
