When he was interviewed in Iraq by a newspaper, a lot of the other soldiers said they had made a mistake by joining the Army. But Edgar said he knew what he was getting into, that it was dangerous work.

Doc, you will always have a place in my heart and memories. God Bless,My Brother

Edgar and I used to work together in Torrance and I remember him being the coolest guy and we were both attending Cal State Long Beach. As soon as I moved on to a different job, I heard of this tragic incident and express my deepest condolences to his family. He was a great person that will be missed and wanted to do the best he can for his family. Rest in Peace.

I think of you every day Daclan. You should be alive. That was mine to die. Everyday I think of you and Cpt. Kurth who died in my arms. My life is not worth your death. I remember you in Germany... Why wasn't my life taken and yours spared...?

I think of you every day Daclan...
