In his eyes, he was there for the right reasons. He died for a good cause. He died for my two kids and his son.

Mier was born in Durango, Mexico, and moved to San Clemente when he was 3. He was a quiet young man who played soccer and basketball. In high school, he was a saxophonist in the marching band.

One memory of Eliu A. Mier

I thank God that this world can still produce people like Eliu. Despite the fact that so many men today are focused on themselves and their own interests, a few rare men step out of the pack and volunteer to do the heavy lifting. Our Country cannot endure without these unsung heroes who keep coming forward, regardless of personal cost.

Thank You to his family, and may God grant you extra graces to bear the loss.
