Today I wish to honor you and the many who have served our nation giving the ultimate sacrifice.

I read the notes of your friends and family and I know you must have been a wonderful human being.

I too grew up in Baldwin Park but have not had the honor to have met you. Please know that you and your family are in the hearts and minds of grateful Americans everywhere who deeply appreciate your service.

I recall the words of the Wizard in the Wizard of Oz when he told the Scare Crow, "A man is not measured by how much he loves, but by how much other love him." Please know that you are greatly loved.
