It is a tribute to his own personal strength and values that he turned out to be the man he was.
    — Christine Wilson, widow

Wilson grew up in orphanages and foster homes from the age of 10, his wife told the Washington Post. When he turned 17, he wanted to enlist in the Army, but had no parent to give permission. So he went to his local courthouse and got a judge to sign his papers.

As a father of a soldier who has recently returned home, it is heart breaking to read about all of our soldiers who did not make it home and who gave their lives for our country. May you rest in peace and may god bless you Jamie and all of our fallen soldiers.
