He was at that stage in life where he has to make the choice of what to do. It doesn't matter what I want him to do. It's what he wants to do.
— Bert Baro, father, on his son enlisting
Baro died with his childhood friend Jared Hubbard when a bomb exploded in Fallouja. Above, Baro is pictured at left with Hubbard. Three years later Hubbard's brother Nathan, who joined to honor them, was killed in a helicopter crash in Iraq.

Rest in peace.
A very sad story to hear. R.I.P
Thank you for serving our country and keeping us free. God bless you, your Hubbard brothers and your family.
I Offer My Condolence To The Family Of Jeremiah Baro. I Understand The Meloncholy That Come From Loosing Some One. I Offer My Sympathy As Well As A Brief Message Of Hope From The Bible. Taken At John 5: 28 Which Reads: Do Not Marvel At This, Because The Hour Is Coming In Which All Those In The Memorial Tunes Will Hear His Voice And Come Out.
I don't know this soldiers as I'm just visiting the LA Times website. I thank him and his family for his dedication to our county. Thank you for keeping America free and protecting our beliefs.
