It's hard to comprehend why he was taken from us so soon. Only four months left in Iraq, then we would return home. Well he did return, but not in the way we imagined. How are we going to be able to continue with our lives, when after 22 beautiful years with him, now he's gone?

    Paniagua-Morales died of wounds suffered when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device while driving in Samarra, Iraq. He was posthumously promoted to the rank of Corporal from his previously held rank of Specialist.
