This hits close to home. I'm a South Bay resident but did not know Koran. Still, I sincerely hope his family and friends take heart in his extreme courage and sacrifice for our country. Koran is and always will be appreciated by his fellow Americans!

I am trying to reach someone in the Koran Contreras family. I am with the L.A. Quilt Guild in Downey, CA. We are part of the Home Of The Brave quilt project. When we get word of a fallen hero we start trying to contact a family member to send them a quilt. Please check out www.homeofthebravequilt.com and contact me with this information.
    Our condolences to this family.

Koran growing up you were my best friend. You always knew what to say when things were rough. Every time I saw you, you always had the biggest smile. Also, you would always crack the funniest jokes. I remember when you told me you were going to enlist in the army ,I begged you not to. It's crazy how life can change in a matter of seconds. I will never forget you! Koran you have changed my life forever! I miss you so much!

THANK YOU!!!!!!! For your sacrifice, words do little to describe our sincere gratitude. However, There is a hope for a future where such wonderful people will not have to die in the wars of the world. ISAIAH 2:4 And he will certainly render judgment among the nations and set matters straight respecting many nations and set matters straight respecting many peoples. And they will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore....REV 21:3,4-"death will be no more"
