    Sgt. 1st Class Kristoffer B. Domeij, 29, of San Diego, Calif., was killed Oct. 22 in Kandahar province, Afghanistan when his unit was attacked by enemy forces using a roadside bomb. Two other men also died in the incident, Pfc. Christopher A. Horns, 20, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and 1st. Lt. Ashley I. White, 24, of Alliance, Ohio.

    Kris Domeij has always been a guardian angel. He was my first friend when I moved to San Diego and he protected me from all the bullies at school. He is a good man, father, husband, and brother. This country took a huge hit when we lost Kris. I know you look down everyday at your wife, and little girls, and brother. Love you Kris
