He was real excited about that. One of the last things he said to me was 'I love you, Mom.' I told him to be careful.
    — Kimberley Creed, mother, on her son's call saying he'd be home in 45 days

Creed had made plans to buy his first new car. His dream was to become a policeman. He had asked for combat duty to gain experience.

One thing i do remember about Matt in High School is that he seemed always happy, always had a smile on his face.

He was a great man in and out of high school. A group of us chargers joined the army out of high school and he is a driving force for me as I continue on in my army career. I have his hero bracelet I wear as a reminder everyday.

Matt was great! We went to kindergarten thru high shcool toghether and he always greeted me with a smile. We reconnected a couple months before his death by exchanging emails catching up with each other. He was so proud to be married and was so happy to be coming home within a month.....
His funeral was impressive and very sad, because he was so young. Hearing the news was a shock, and I will never forget him. <3
