He gave his life to the Lord, and he gave his life for his country.

About 1,000 people attended Rojas' funeral, where the machine gunner was remembered as a hero who loved his family and friends, and who had recently made a personal commitment to God.

Your death came as such a shock to me when I caught it on the news working the night shift (it didn't help Brandon was deploying for his 2nd tour, and that I was pregnant). I know we didn't know each other too well, but I have known you since 7th grade and we even ended up graduating from the same High School together. My best friend back in 7th had the biggest crush on you.

You've left us too soon, but the Lord has his purpose for you. You'll never be forgotten, and you'll always be missed. Until we meet again.
