I won't be in the States until December at the soonest. Just chillax folks, I will be home when I am home, so no worries.... Everything is good, I have all of my fingers and toes, and I am in fairly good health, lol. I gotta go, but I love you all.

Bridges was rejected for being too heavy when he first tried to enlist. He lost 119 pounds to join the Army. His parents were told he was killed in a "friendly-fire" incident.

Janice, Michael's mother, shared with me of his death in Iraq. There are no words to express my feelings on how brave she is. No words to express the deep sorrow she must bear. No words to express the pride she must feel for her son for serving his country and for paying the ultimate price. She is a far bigger person then I could ever be and I admire her greatly. My father, a solider who landed in Normandy, fought in the Battle of the Bulge, and went into the heart of Germany during WWII, always said, "Old men start the wars and young boys fight them!" Plato said, "The only man who shall not know war is a dead man." God bless the family of Michael . Michael stepped up and served his country without being called upon to do so with honor regardless of how one feels about the war.
